The problem of suffering, natural in this case, is it a test (Story of Job) or a punishment (Original Sin or our own actions?).  This chap believes suffering is a punishment, or at least he did until it was him doing the suffering.  C'est la vie, as they say.

This theme park is based on fundamental Christian beliefs, including creationism, the theory that God created the universe in six days and that it is only about 6,000 years old.  This means that it directly contradicts the Theory of Evolution and is an example of Bible literalism, the belief that the Bible is literally true and Evolution is wrong. 

It is important to remember that many Christians are not bible literalists, they can accept Evolution/Big Bang and still believe in the Bible symbolically, i.e. that God created the universe but not literally in 6 days, instead God is the 'first cause' or 'designer' of the universe and God is actually responsible for Evolution/Big Bang.
